Steed Figure
The 1977 Denys Fisher catalogue adverted action figures of Steed and Gambit.
But the action figures were never sold in UK shops.
"Dressed in his smart suit, bowler hat and carrying his famous umbrella, the 11,5" Steed figure is ready for action-packed adventures. With a pull of the handle, Steed's umbrella converts amazinly into a sword stick and by operating a button in his back, Steed's fencing arm lunges forward with a cut and thrust action!"
As one can see on the right picture, Steed was featuring action courtesy of a button on his back
Unfortunately the Steed action figure was never issued, neither was a Gambit figure featuring expert karate chop action courtesy of a button on his back.
Denys Fisher company produced however a Purdey doll in 1976 featuring Purdey in the purple leotard ( she wore it in the TNA episode The Eagle's Nest) with tights, shoes and a patterned skirt.
